Elkton Elementary School

With a history spanning more than a century, Elkton Elementary School has long been an important part of the Elkton community. Architecture, Incorporated completed a comprehensive renovation of the 87,000 sf school, thoughtfully updating its exterior and interior while preserving the historic character of the original brick building. The renovation brings new life to the school's learning and gathering spaces, including updated classrooms, a refreshed media center, a vibrant cafeteria, and a welcoming administrative area near the main entrance. Throughout the original building, new windows and carefully restored brickwork complement preserved architectural details, including original wood trim and baseboards. In the classrooms, these historic elements blend with modern finishes and updated learning environments, creating a balance between the school's architectural heritage and the needs of today's students.
