The Lowline Hotel - JdV by Hyatt

Charleston, SC

The Lowline Hotel brings a new boutique experience to Charleston’s King Street. The transformation of the former Hyatt Place Charleston/Historic District marks the first JdV by Hyatt property in South Carolina, giving a familiar Charleston address a new identity within Hyatt’s lifestyle collection. Architecture, Incorporated served as Architect of Record on the hotel’s rebranding and renovation, centered on a full gut and reconceptualization of the ground-level amenity spaces, strengthening the hotel’s presence at the southern end of Charleston’s urban revitalization project and future linear park, the “Lowcountry Lowline.” The new spaces include a courtyard, bar, coffee bar and retail area, Leeward restaurant, and golf simulator lounge, along with refreshed guestrooms and corridors. The adjacent Hyatt House also received targeted updates to its public areas and guestrooms, complementing the broader renovation and adding new opportunities to gather, dine, and relax along one of Charleston’s most active streets.
