The architecture and design of the Inova Center for Personalized Health (ICPH) Executive Suites on floors eight and nine were conceived not only to facilitate interaction among leadership teams but also to blur the traditional boundaries between different tiers of management. As the leadership teams operated from various locations, a decision was reached to consolidate efforts holistically. This encompassed the return of medical teams to on-site work arrangements, streamlining collaborative endeavors. The 45,000 sf, two-level build-out includes a combination of private and open offices, conference rooms, breakout spaces, a skylight, and a pantry, all centered on a large connecting stair. Integration of natural light, comfortable spaces, and social activity zones or "bump spaces" were purposefully designed to foster spontaneous interaction and allow for conversations, breaks, meetings, and digital conferencing. The space aimed to support the reintegration of core employees into a new "home base" on the Inova campus. This visionary approach recognized the need for adaptable and multifunctional spaces that could accommodate the demands of medical leadership and the evolving landscape of healthcare work.
