The Chantilly, VA location of Mellow Mushroom was awarded the 2019 Honor Award in Retail by the IIDA Mid-Atlantic Conference (MAC). This award recognizes the winners of the Premiere Design Awards competition.Projects are judged by a team of Professional IIDA members from outside of the Mid-Atlantic Region. Mellow Mushroom Chantilly is immersed in the history of flight. Nods to an airplane hangar include an industrial vestibule, “mechanic shop” bar, and Dulles mobile lounge kitchen pass. Art installations including a bust of the Red Baron, American Flag sculpture, reproduction globes and propellers, and vintage steamer trunks pay homage.
