It was our objective to create a safe, familiar environment providing a variety of options fostering interaction, privacy, activity and relaxation. These objectives would be provided in a comfortable, traditional Georgian home with authentic Williamsburg detailing. Rich interior furnishings, raised panel wainscot and chair rail, crown moldings, wall sconces, cherry wood balusters and handrails, all would be used to recreate a nostalgic step back to a simpler, more relaxed era. The selection of off-white English bone china, the wall tapestry, elegant glassware, interior Doric columns and hardwood flooring, the front porch wicker chairs and gliders, the see-through fireplace with traditional surround and mantels, all were integral in creating this American Colonial design. Within the building, individual neighborhoods were organized to give residents a sense of community and to reduce walking distances to public spaces.
